The practice manager thinks she can speak to members of the public how she likes.

Used to be a family friendly practice now it feels like it's trying to be a big corporation as you can now never get through on the phone I mean a 20 minute wait and yet I was in position 1 all that time and they also have the cheek via an automated voice from a Dr saying you must tell reception what the medical condition is, I'm sorry that's just rude as some conditions are very sensitive. This practice has gone right down hill and the patient access app is awful as you can never get hold of a Dr and you are also told when calling to go online, I'm sorry but going online to make a Dr's appointment is pathetic you are not Microsoft Courtside need to spend less money and time on fancy gimmicks that don't work and get more staff especially on reception.

The hardest place to try and get a docs appointment, staff can be very rude and abrupt and if you do manage to get an appointment you'll be lucky to be seen on time. Last appointment I had I was seen nearly an hour late.

Since we moved to Yate we have found a revelation, a GPs surgery that actually works. They are very flexible around our working hours, the staff are approachable and friendly and they will always fit you in. Also if you like this kind of good service, dont move to Thornbury, worst GPs ever!

Having had to make several appointments because slots were booked I managed to see a doctor , upon going into the first doctors room I was made to feel as though he wasn't really interested and said he didn't have time to look at my records properly on screen I had to explain why I was there. In the end I showed him my own report from a hospital, definitely no bedside manner. On my next visit I saw a different doctor re my blood results etc and whilst talking to the doctor I noticed a timer on her desk , I asked if that was a timer for patients 10 minuite slot and the reply was it was for her use , it was obvious it was a timer for a ten min slot , we all appreciate doctors are busy but having a timer on a desk is not really patient friendly and very blatantly off putting . Good job I don't have a stutter !! the carpets in our surgery are disgusting with stains on harbouring germs . On patient access on line why would people want to know some of there last apptments , it's taking up wasted space . I speak for a lot of people in yate and our surgery has gone down hill a lot .
