If you ever need to see a doctor, most of the time you will be referred to the Downend practice. Which kind of defeats the purpose of choosing to have a nearby home surgery. If you don't drive then clearly it will not be easy to get to the Downend practice in a timely way. As a result of this we decided to move to another Yate based practice.
You can never get threw to them on the phone and when you do you can't get an appointment for 4 weeks!!! Absolute waste of time.
Appalling service - every time Ive made an appointment it has been rescheduled, sometimes 2/3 times! Our details were not passed on to a health visitor for our one year old, and now Ive received a letter asking to register with another survey because we dont live in their catchment area - despite it being the closest surgery to our home! I appreciate that the NHS are under a great strain at the moment, but I have experienced a catalogue of errors that were all completely avoidable, so I would definitely not recommend.
