If I could give it 0 stars I would. Had a carvery, well.. its was inedible. Meat was tough and fatty like shoe leather. The potatoes, again were dry and not at all fluffy nor crispy. Stuffing was mushy and had to add loads of gravy to the meal. Veg was ok, boiled but no flavour. Wouldnt come again. Dont waste your 8 or time coming down for food.
Opted not to have the cavery as meat looked dried out & vegetables either burnt or dry.Had steak & ale pie which was nice but with tinned peas! Spoilt the meal. Lots of room for improvement. Used to visit there for a meal quite regular as we live close by.

I went to the Lawns today,with three of my friends,the meals are VERY REASONABLE. A nice friendly pub.
We had a carvery meal. The beef and turkey were both very tender and tasty. A nice array of vegetables. Thick gravy and different condiments. Altogether a very tasty dinner. Many thanks!
